The Cross Threads ministry sews the beautiful palls (white gown) that are worn by the infants and children who receive the sacrament of baptism at our parish. The work involves purchasing materials and supplies, cutting the fabric, attaching ribbon trim, hemming, binding the necks, and embroidering the Chi Rho. One of our volunteers checks on the supplies in the sacristy and resupplies as needed. It is a cottage industry in that each member works independently in their own home, working from a standardized pattern.
